17th Heart of Finland Open chess tournament
Jyväskylä, Finland July 16-20, 2007
Chessclub Jyväs-Shakki organizes 17th Heart of Finland Open chess tournament in Jyväskylä, Finland during July 16-20, 2007.
Tournament will be played in 9 rounds according to Swiss system. Tournament is ELO-rated and there are possibilities to reach FIDE title norms. Heart Of Finland is also an open Finnish Championships tournament and women's Finnish Championships tournament. It's also a Jyväs-Shakki's 60th anniversary tournament.
Venue:
Main campus of Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences, street address Rajakatu 35, Jyväskylä.
Game avenue is large and cosy.

Player can rest round 1 and gets 1/2 point from it.
Timerate:
At rounds 1-2 timerate is 1h 30 min + 30 s/move, after 75th move + 10 min and played end without increment. At rounds 3-9 timerate is 1h 30 min + 30 s/move, after 40th move + 15min + 30 s/move and after 75th move + 10 min without increment.
Entry fees:
GMs and IMs no entry fee (early registration required before June 23), FM/U20 60 EUR, ELO-rated players 80 EUR, others 100 EUR.
Discounts: Payments received not later than May 31th are allowed a 20 % discount, not later than June 16th are allowed a 10% discount. Payments should be transfered to Jyväs-Shakki's bank account: K-S Osuuspankki 529002-4269553.
Prizes:
Prizes's total amount is about 4000 EUR. Open group's top six will be awarded, also ELO-group prizes, young's prizes and special prizes.
Accommodation:
Lots of different types of alternatives close to the playing venue.
